Priscilla LeCompte, LCMHCA

Hello! And welcome! Here’s a bit about me. I graduated with a master’s degree in community counseling from Wake Forest University in 2003. I have worked in many different settings from inpatient to intensive outpatient to traditional outpatient and with a variety of different populations. I took some time off from working to start a family. During that time off, I struggled with infertility issues and miscarriages. It led me to become aware and interested in this specific area. I also had postpartum anxiety after my first child was born which manifested itself in intrusive and sometimes disturbing thoughts. It was a difficult time during my life but I was able to climb out of it. I returned to counseling after my children were school aged and began taking coursework specific to maternal mental health issues. I currently live with my partner, three wonderful children, one dog and two cats. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, listening to podcasts and crocheting.
